EcoPro Sheet
Ecopro is cellulose fibre flat cement sheet from Sahyadiri industries limited- a Pune base listed company. This innovative product is as per IS 14862 and is ideal substitute for waterproof plywood. Ecopro is composed from special grade cellulose fiber and inorganic binders of silica base. The matrix made to the required thickness is cured at high temperature and high pressure in autoclaves to attain crystalline structure which imparts dimensional stability to the Ecopro. The cement component makes it durable & the cellulose component makes it more workable.
Eco Pro is a best alternative to waterproof PLYWOOD and also are very economical. Ecopro is resistant to Fire, Water & Termite. Thermal conductivity of Ecopro is lower than any other substitute of its nature. This property makes Ecopro a good insulator also. Hence Ecopro are used as an energy saving aid to maintain the temperature in closed air-conditioned rooms.

Ready to Paint- Cutting can be easily done with carpenter's saw. The cut edges are smootherned with emery paper.
- Cutting can also be done by scour- and snap method. Ref. Fig. 1
- A deep grove is scoured with a pointed instrument where sheet is to be parted.
- The sheet is kept overhanging on a straight edge so that the goove is right above the edge. Presure is applied on the overhanging part of the sheet until it snaps. The snapped edge is smoothened with emery paper.

They can take paining well. Cement based, Water based Acrylic paint or any other water based paint can be used. In case of impervious paint(Oil Paint etc.), back painting is essential. It is also advisable to apply an alkali resistant primer. They can also take up Lamination, Wall paper and sand texture on them.
